Government will not yield to homosexual pressure - Buturo

The government has issued a stern warning to homosexuals and their sympathisers, saying it will not accept practice of unnatural sex even if it means losing out on the much needed donor support.

The Minister of Ethics and Integrity, Dr Nsaba Buturo, told journalists at the Uganda Media Centre yesterday that they are ready to forfeit any amount of donor funding that is tagged as a condition to accept homosexuality.
“I have been pressured by some donors to allow homosexuality, but I have told them they can keep their money and the homosexuality because it is not about charity at the expense of our moral destruction,” Mr Buturo said.

Mr Buturo said the homosexual forces are very powerful and operating through powerful governments to have their desire fulfilled but Uganda will not succumb to any pressure to legalise unnatural sex and homosexuality in particular.

According to Mr Buturo, the country is besieged with sodomy, pornography, prostitution, drug abuse, witchcraft and indirect embezzlement, something that makes Uganda lose its heart and identity.
“Nowadays, our country is welcoming and embracing all manners of social evil that are likely to render our society insecure and unproductive. We must do something,” Mr Buturo worriedly said.

He said the government is considering stringent measures with a view to close down makeshift video halls commonly known as “bibanda” and cinemas that he said perpetuate unacceptable behaviour like homosexuality and pornography.

Mr Buturo said whistle blowing, pornography, homosexuality and money laundering bills are all in the offing and will boost the country’s effort to rid the immoral and debilitating excesses that he said is eating the country.

He dismissed the idea that special places be designed for prostitutes to ply their trade saying it does not dignify the trade. He also said all government departments are corrupt save for a few that just show only a semblance of integrity.

FUFA bans Ayieko over sodomy claims

Wednesday, 1st July, 2009

By Swalley Kenyi

FUFA has slapped an indefinite suspension on tactician Charles ‘Mbuzi’ Ayieko over sodomy allegations.
The suspension comes at a time Police in Lira is investigating the Horizon FC coach on allegations he attempted to sodomise brothers Isaac Omara and David Doii two weeks ago.

Ayieko denied the accusations in Lira.
FUFA coaches commission secretary Stone Kyambadde announced the clampdown on Ayieko at the weekly PostBank FUFA press conference at Mengo yesterday.

The move means Ayieko, who was said to be joining Super League side Iganga TC will not proceed with negotiations with the club.

“I was in Lira. I saw what happened and as a way of protecting our profession, we thought it right to suspend him pending investigations,” Kyambadde said.

FUFA publicist Rogers Mulindwa added that they had requested Police to transfer the case to Kampala to allow a close follow up.

He warned that the decision against Ayieko was the beginning of tougher measures FUFA will take to rid football of allegations of homosexuality. But he contends that it was going to be a huge task to achieve because of lack of concrete evidence.

FUFA last week vowed to tackle the homosexual bug by placing tough conditions for coaches.

The coaches’ commission will kick off the campaign effective next season, with its members signing a code of conduct which will have an article that denounces any support or involvement in sodomy-related acts.

FUFA denied a report that Cranes coach Robert Williamson would be sacked unless he signs a document condemning sodomy.

Deadlinescotland.wordpress.com reported yesterday that Williamson could face the sack unless he signs a coaches’ code of conduct condemning sodomy.

Gates says he wants to soften gay expulsion rules

By ANNE GEARAN, AP National Security Writer Anne Gearan, Ap National Security Writer – Tue Jun 30, 9:26 pm ET

WASHINGTON – Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Tuesday he wants to make the law prohibiting gays from serving openly in the armed forces "more humane" until Congress eventually repeals it. He said he has lawyers studying ways the law might be selectively enforced.

"One of the things we're looking at is, is there flexibility in how we apply this law?" Gates said.

The defense chief, a holdover from the Republican administration of former President George W. Bush, told reporters traveling with him in Europe that the Clinton-era ban was written without much wiggle room. The Pentagon general counsel is looking at potential avenues around full enforcement as a stopgap, Gates said.

For example, Gates said, the military might not have to expel someone whose sexual orientation was revealed by a third party out of vindictiveness or suspect motives. That would include, Gates said, someone who was "jilted" by the gay service member.

"That's the kind of thing we're looking at to see if there's at least a more humane way to apply the law until the law gets changed," Gates said, according to a transcript released by the Pentagon.

Gay rights activists and others have criticized the Obama administration for not quickly following through on a pledge to lift the ban on openly gay military service.

President Barack Obama and his spokesmen say he remains committed to repealing the Clinton-era law known as "don't ask, don't tell," but neither the White House nor congressional leadership has moved swiftly to do so.

There is no timetable for the pending bill to repeal the 1993 law, which was intended as a compromise to get around a full ban on gay military service. Gay rights leaders, however, have said it is an insult.

Obama says he wants to build support for the change among military commanders before urging Congress to move ahead.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff and others have cautioned that repeal of the law must be done carefully so as not to disrupt military cohesion in wartime or to place an additional burden on an already overstretched uniformed force.

Gates said he discussed repeal of the no-gays policy with Obama last week, but he did not detail the conversation.

"We were talking about how do we move forward on this to achieve his objective, which is changing the policy, and the issue that we face is that how do we begin to do preparations and simultaneously the administration move forward in terms of asking the Congress to change the law," Gates said.

Several liberal legal experts and outside groups have urged Obama to issue an executive order that would make the law unenforceable, but Gates appeared to be considering measures short of that.

SODOMY IN UGANDA........

In the History of this nation there has not been a time like we are in now.Sodomy or homosexuality is one thing that many fear to discuss or even just mention yet sodomy is in our prisons, churches, sports and community. There has been many stories in the press about sodomy that are real and rather so sad. You will not hear many talk about it and i must say am so disappointed in the parliament of this nation, i wonder when one of these mps will come out and comment. Stories on sodomy have been in the press and one that really 0made me angry was the 11 year old boy sodomised in Entebbe, when this boy whent to report about this issue, he was dismissed from school because the school feared to turnish their name. opiyo Oloya's article in the newvision clearly explains what happened.And early this week i learned of yet another story of a 13 year old boy sodomised Read story New vision, and i guess there are so many stories that we dont know about. Now, who will stand up and defend people like these...They are young and just putting their lives together and someone is destroying all that.

PRISON
prison chief in an interview with sunday monitor revealed that sodomy is his biggest headache.......imagine these are criminals locked in prison and taking on this unnatural act.

sodomy in schools

I read in the Observer 2 weeks ago about how books on sodomy are being given to children in schools Read here through some of the leading NGOs in the nation....Its sad!

sodomy in churches
In the past month pastor Robert Kayanja has been accused of sodomising boys, about six boys have come up and said the pastor sodomised them. In the past i have had stories ( and some of these have appeared in the press) of leading pastors in the city taking advantage of young, poor boys, promising to help them. pastors Isaac Kiwewesi, Kitaka Leslie are some of the pastors who have been accused of sodomy.

Last month, pastors leading the fight against homosexuality in the nation were dragged to police, after pastor kayanja said they were after turnishing his name. these include pastors Martin ssempa, Solomon Male and Michael Kyaze. and many have said these pastors are jealous blah blah..... of Kayanja.
I have been wondering why the accused was not taken to police for questioning but instead pastor martin ssempa, Male and Kyaze who were being good samaritans, speaking out for those who have allegedly been abused, were the ones summoned by police.....Thank God the president intervened or else the situation would have been really bad.

I pray that all those who have been abused will get justice and healing and that we will all join people like pastor martin Ssempa to fight homosexuality and also speak and make known the plight of those who have been victimised.
FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY!

THE SOLID ROCK............Edward Mote

1. My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

* Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

2. When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

3. His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

A BEAUTIFUL SONG.....for meditation and reflection....

Pastors told to stop comments on sodomy case

L-R:Pastor Jerome Ntege Kisitu , Pastor Male, Mr David Mukalazi and Pastor Ssempa at the CID headquarters in Kibuli Kampala yesterday.

Now you guys this is indeed getting out of hand, i mean why would the CID shut these pastors' mouths on the issue of sodomy? who will speak for the victims?

Pastor martin ssempa and others behind the fight against homosexuality in the church and in the nation have been told to keep quiet on the issue of sodomy.Read here

by Andrew Bagala

The Police yesterday ordered the pastors being interrogated on allegations that they set up Rubaga Miracle Cathedral Pastor Robert Kayanja in a sodomy allegations, not to comment on any matter regarding the case in the press.

Pastor Martin Ssempa told journalists after his brief meeting with the Criminal Investigations Directorate boss Edward Ochom and his deputy in charge of investigations, Moses Sakira at Kibuli that the group had been warned of dire consequences if they continue commenting about the issues in the media.
“I can’t comment because the detectives have told me not to do so,” Pastor Ssempa told journalists.

Although Pastor Ssempa of Makerere Community Church, together with his colleagues Solomon Male of Arise for Christ and Bob Kayiira of Omega Healing Centre appeared at 11am yesterday at CID headquarters as directed by detectives, only Pastor Kayiira was interrogated. All the pastors have been told to again appear at CID today at 9am.
Accordingly, the pastors have been told not to address press conferences and make comments.

The orders were issued by Mr Ochom and Mr Sakira.
CID publicist Joseph Obwana confirmed the development but said the pastors were only restricted on what they discussed with interrogators.
“The director (CID) was trying to advise them against making unnecessary comments to the media,” Mr Obwana said.

Surprisingly, the two alleged victims, Mr Samson Mukisa and Mr David Mukalazi, whom police said retracted their earlier statements of sodomy against Pastor Kayanja, appeared at CID with their lawyer Andrew Kasirye and denied retracting their statements.
Mr Mukalazi said: “I recorded that last statement at CID headquarters a month ago but I have never changed my statement. I have come to CID to give reaffirm that.”

However, detectives did not record his statement but concentrated on Mr Mukisa who by press time was still being interrogated. His alleged mother, Oliver Nansubuga, also appeared at CID.

Mr Ochom on Sunday summoned five pastors after CID investigated cases in which six people including; Mr Samson Mukisa, Mr James Ntwatwa, Mr Ronny Mutebi, Mr David Mukalazi, Mr Akansiime and Mr Robinson Matovu alleged that they were sodomised by Pastor Kayanja while they were at his Rubaga Miracle Cathedral.
